1/29/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved QMHP-A began the session by inquiring about Ms. Broadnaxâs current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHP-A reviewed and implemented learned techniques to assist Ms. Broadnax with controlling and managing her anger and depression. QMHP-A implemented deep breathing, temple massaging, counting and taking a time out to engage in leisure activities. QMHP-A provided Ms. Broadnax with tips and pamphlets on how to control her anger/depression. QMHP-A processed tips and information with Ms. Broadnax and encouraged her to be mindful of her actions on a daily basis especially in the presence of her children. QMHP-A identified ways for Ms. Broadnax to relieve stress which included her being able to appropriately control her anger through healthier outlets. QMHP-A encouraged her to not let things and the situation with she and her family take her out of her element as it would affect her in the long run. QMHP-A provided Ms. Broadnax with support through body tone, listening, paraphrasing and summarizing. QMHP-A taught Ms. Broadnax to ways to relieve stress and asked her to write down her feelings as a means of relieving stress and getting her feelings out without exploding and presenting inappropriate actions. Ms. Broadnax appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Asâ interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Ms. Broadnax actively participated in discussion on anger management and was agreed to work harder at controlling her anger appropriately as she stated that her sister and other people in her family has a way of making her angry when she speaks with them. Ms. Broadnax stated that when she argues with others in her family and when she is in front of her children she feels as though she is showing disrespect to her children and she doesnât want her children to think that there is no relationship between the family. Ms. Broadnax stated that she knows she is a good parent and is far from perfect however she had flaws and was making the effort it be better at her actions by receiving services. Ms. Broadnax stated that she is aware that she needs to be mindful of her actions in the presence of her children as her actions had caused her in the past. Ms. Broadnax was able to utilize techniques provided by this counselor during the session.
